Mission Statement:

"To educate, train, and empower the community of God to serve the people of God as exemplified in the ministry of Jesus Christ"

Ministry Aim/Objective:

The ministry of Christian education is entrusted with the responsibility of providing ecclesial training and sound educational endeavors to the various ministries, organizations, boards, departments and the community of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. The desire of the ministry of Christian education is to replicate and contemporize the Great Commission of Jesus Christ, “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you” (Matthew 28:19-20 (a). Therefore the mission of the ministry of Christian education is to educate, train and empower the community of God through the discipline of Christian education, so that the community of God can witness to and serve the people of God as demonstrated in the ministry of Jesus Christ!

Ministry Opportunities:

• Bible 101 – a four-session course that introduces newcomers to the Bible; ministry training sessions; Annual Intensive Training Summit for all Leaders
